Curaçao's beaches split into two kinds. On the south-east coast near Willemstad, Mambo Beach and Jan Thiel are developed beaches with restaurants and shops beside the sand. The west coast has smaller coves and bays, several of them described as good for snorkelling, but they lie roughly 20 to 40 km from Willemstad in a straight line, so reaching them without a car takes planning. Some beaches charge an entrance fee; others are free.
Every fact below names the page it comes from: the Curaçao Tourist Board's official beach pages, or the beach operator's own site for fees and opening hours. We read them on the date shown. We have not visited these beaches, and where no source we checked states something — a fee, lifeguards, parking cost — the guide says "not confirmed" rather than guess. Distances below are straight-line estimates from the Mega Pier in Otrobanda. The nearest beaches are a short taxi ride; the west-coast coves are a long drive and need a firm plan for getting back to the ship. We do not guarantee any connection back to your ship.
